Job Description

The position is full-time and is based at our Company’s head office in Calgary. We are growing rapidly, and this is role requires a motivated and talented individual who wants to work in a fast-paced environment. Reporting to the Manager of SMT– The PCBA Maintenance Tech is to maintain all Through Hole assembly, SMT machines and equipment to the perfect working conditions.Completing routine and emergency repairs to machine, equipment, and fixtures. Responsibilities:

  • Perform Scheduled preventative maintenance and calibration of PCBA machines and equipment
  • Lead preventive maintenance programs
  • Develop preventive maintenance instructions
  • Develop MFMEA – Machine Failure Modeamp; Effects Analysis
  • Perform general building maintenance tasks as required
  • Back up for SMT Process engineering support
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve machine malfunction and to procure replacement parts
  • Maintain machine spare parts inventory
  • Installation, Setup, and alignment of new SMT machine / equipment
  • Communicate with Machine manufacturers to resolve hardware related issues
  • Overtime could be required to complete the task and meet deadline
  • Track and main all equipment Preventive Maintenance Records
Data Skills/Qualifications/Education:
  • 2-year full time technical diploma in engineering or related experience
  • Mechanically oriented and possess above average attention to detail
  • Knowledge of IPC 610 workmanship standards
  • Familiar with component polarity markings and standard package size
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Experience in SMT manufacturing operation
  • Experience in SPI, AOI, Dek printer or ASM Sipro place will be an asset
