The Role We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Water Sales and Support Consultant to join our team. In this role, you will handle customer service and sales inquiries, visit homes to test water quality and recommend suitable equipment, and coordinate appointments. Your responsibilities will include order entry, payment processing, documentation management, and resolving customer issues. You will also support sales teams, assist with sales events and displays, and continuously update your product knowledge through training and self-directed learning, ensuring accurate information is shared with customers and team members.What you will be doingCustomer Service and Sales:
  • Handle incoming sales and support inquiries from phone calls, emails, web leads, Kinetico leads, Costco Program, and walk-in customers.
  • Visit customer homes to test water quality and recommend appropriate equipment.
  • Coordinate with the Mechanical Salesamp; Service Director to review and book appointments, ensuring they are appropriate and efficiently scheduled.
Order Administration and Customer Service:
  • Enter orders, delivery, and installation requests promptly and accurately.
  • Process customer payments in accordance with company policy.
  • Retain backup documentation for important order details, such as water reports, installation notes, and mechanical room photographs.
  • Provide accurate specifications, Kinetico checklists, and installation/rough-in information when required.
  • Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and solicit Google Reviews where appropriate.
  • Take ownership of and successfully resolve customer problems and service issues as per policy.
  • Assist and attend home shows, sales events, and other special events as needed.
Sales Team Support and Display Maintenance:
  • Work the sales floor at various stores as scheduled by your manager, engaging with customers and providing assistance.
  • Provide comprehensive support to the Retail and Builder sales teams in all aspects of water sales and customer support.
  • Conduct training sessions for Retail and Builder Sales Consultants, offering ongoing assistance to ensure their success.
  • Assist with basic display maintenance, including tagging, performing tea/soap tests, updating pricing, and detailing displays to ensure they are attractive and informative for customers.
Product Knowledge:
  • Continuously update and expand product knowledge to stay current with the latest features and benefits.
  • Actively participate in on-site and off-site training sessions provided by the company.
  • Engage in self-directed learning by reviewing product manuals, technical specifications, and industry resources.
  • Share acquired knowledge with team members to promote collective expertise and ensure consistent information is communicated to customers.
To be successful in this role you must have
  • Prior experience in sales, customer service, or a related field, preferably in a retail environment or similar setting.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with customers and team members.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
  • Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with CRM systems or willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in completing administrative tasks.
  • Knowledge of water treatment systems, equipment, and related products is advantageous.
  • Ability to learn and understand technical specifications and product features.
  • Flexibility to work varying schedules, including weekends and evenings, as required by business needs.
  • Physical ability to visit customer homes, perform water tests, and assist with display maintenance.
  • Ability to provide a driver’s licence and driver abstract.
