Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven BDR Manager to lead our Business Development Representative team in driving pipeline growth and securing high-value opportunities. This role is pivotal in driving the success of our BDRs by enabling them to achieve and exceed their targets through strategic guidance, coaching, and data-driven decision-making.As the BDR Manager, you will be instrumental in developing and executing strategies to identify, engage, and qualify potential enterprise customers, ensuring alignment with our go-to-market objectives. Your leadership will directly contribute to the growth and success of Symend.Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Team Leadershipamp; Development:
    • Recruit, train, mentor, motivate and retain a high-performing team of Business Development Representatives fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
    • Implement best practices for outreach via email, phone, and social platforms to drive engagement with C-level executives and decision-makers.
    • Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to SDRs to enhance their skills, confidence, and performance.
    • Develop and implement training programs that equip the team with the tools and knowledge they need to succeed
    • Lead by example, demonstrating best practices in outreach and engagement.
  • Strategic Planningamp; Market Analysis:
    • Develop and implement data-driven strategies to target key markets, identify opportunities, and drive lead generation.
    • Guide the team in conducting thorough research to understand market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes. Use insights to refine targeting strategies and improve outreach effectiveness.
    • Collaborate with marketing, sales, and product teams to inform product development and ensure alignment on marketing campaigns.
  • Performance Management:
    • Monitor and manage team performance metrics, including lead conversion rates, outreach volume, and pipeline contribution.
    • Regularly review performance data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and celebrate successes.
    • Implement corrective actions as necessary to ensure team members meet or exceed targets.
  • Data-Driven Optimization:
    • Leverage CRM and sales enablement tools to track team activities and optimize lead management workflows.
    • Analyze performance data to identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement, ensuring the team meets or exceeds key performance indicators.
    • Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership to inform broader sales and marketing strategies.
Performance Expectations:Your key performance indicators (KPIs) include (but are not limited to):
  • SQL to Opportunity conversion rate
  • Pipeline contribution
  • Quota attainment rate
  • Retention rate
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
  • Proven experience in leading a sales development or similar sales team focused on enterprise accounts, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets. Experience in tech or startup environment a plus.
Competencies:
  • Strong understanding of outbound sales strategies, lead generation, and campaign execution
  • Proficient in using CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and sales enablement tools (ie. Apollo, Salesloft, Gong, etc.)
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze metrics and make informed decisions
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and initiatives simultaneously
  • Passion for innovation, technology, and continuous improvement
