Job Description

At Silverado Creek Seniors Community, we are dedicated to providing a warm and welcoming environment for our residents. Our team is passionate about delivering high-quality care and creating a home-like atmosphere. We are seeking a talented and compassionate Cook to join our culinary team and contribute to the well-being of our residents.Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook meals according to established menus and dietary guidelines.
  • Ensure that all meals are nutritious, appetizing, and meet the specific dietary needs of our residents.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering and stocking supplies.
  • Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure efficient and effective meal service.
  • Interact with residents in a friendly and professional manner, addressing any concerns or special requests.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a cook, preferably in a healthcare or residential setting.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Ability to prepare a variety of foods, including special dietary needs (e.g., low-sodium, diabetic-friendly).
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
