Job Description

We are a lifeline to the community when time and clinical expertise can make all the difference.We are currently looking for a Donor Relationsamp; Development Officer for Alberta to be located at either our Calgary or Edmonton bases in the Foundation department.It takes a team to make a difference in people’s lives. When it comes to STARS’ life-saving mission, it also takes individuals, communities, industry and governments. As a member of our Foundation team, you will be on the front-line serving as an ambassador and fostering relationships with our allies.   • Support the Foundation #39;s efforts to raise critical funds for mission operations.
  • Driving strategic relations expansion in Alberta by meeting and exceeding activity targets (discovery calls, face to face meetings, submitted proposals and successful solicitations) as mutually agreed upon with the Director of Development.
  • Identifying, cultivating, solicitating and stewardship of major gifts and sponsorships to the foundation which will include identifying new prospects as well as growing current donor relationships.
  • Preparing and delivering high-quality proposals, presentations and other communication materials to prospective donors and sponsors.
Qualificationsamp; Requirements:
  • 3 to 5 years in a sales or fundraising developing role.
  • Post secondary degree an asset in a related field, a combination of education and experience will be acceptable.
  • Demonstrated track record in soliciting major gifts from corporations, foundations, and individuals.
  • Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills, tact, and diplomacy.
