Job Description

Electrician or Controls Systems Specialist/ReliabilityLocation: Calgary, ABShift: Night Shift (7 PM - 7 AM),Compensation: $42-45 p/h + pension, group benefits, RRSP, company stock options, Employee + Family Assistance programs, company product discountsOverview of the Role: Our client is an international food manufacturing company and they are looking for a motivated Electrician/Control Systems Specialist/Reliability. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the individual is responsible for maintaining and optimizing control systems and electrical components within the plant. This role is critical in ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of all systems, directly supporting the company #39;s commitment to maintaining the highest standards in food safety and quality.Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform reactive, predictive, and preventative maintenance on plant equipment.
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial electrical and electronic control systems and other related devices.
  • Carry out equipment installations, modifications, wiring, and running conduits as necessary.
  • Collaborate effectively with other trades groups to complete project assignments.
  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications.
  • Execute mechanical troubleshooting and complete assigned mechanical work orders.
  • Adhere to food safety protocols and work effectively in a processing environment.
Qualifications:
  • Journeyperson Electrician or background in Controls Systems (PLC, Robotics, Automation).
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and electrical code specifications.
  • Comfortable with mechanical troubleshooting and executing mechanical work orders.
