Position OverviewWe’re looking for an experienced Accountant with skills and experience in Data Management and Software and Systems implementation to manage the setup, configuration and day-to-day functions of our financial payment reconciliations, using the Blackline software.This is an intermediate role that will report to the Controller, and will involve working closely with the Accounting, Data, Operations and Technical teams at Reach.The objective of this role is to create, maintain and manage a robust automated reconciliation system that will be a vital part of Reach’s daily operations and monthly close processes.What You’ll Be Doing

• Obtain a detailed and comprehensive understanding of the Accounting, Data, and Operations processes at Reach.
• Obtain a deep understanding of the Blackline software and the transactional data being used for financial reconciliations.
• Working closely with internal Data and Technical teams to ensure that quality data is coming into and out of the system and that any connected systems are working correctly.
• Working closely with the Accounting and Accounting Operations teams to ensure that user’s needs are met and that users have appropriate access to and training on the system.
• Proactively identifying issues and finding solutions.
• Triage time-sensitive issues for effective resolution.
• Identify recurring or inherent issues with Blackline and, where necessary, work with Blackline technical support to resolve system issues.
• Act as tier one support by problem solving data anomalies and outliers with domain breakdown by running SQL queries and comparing data in Snowflake
• Contribute to ad-hoc Operations projects which drive forward strategic initiatives within the business.
• Suggest improvements and/or enhancements to processes or functions.

RequirementsMust Have Requirements

• Completed an Accounting certificate or diploma program and have a minimum of 5 years experience in an intermediate or senior role.
• Experience with highly complex and involved reconciliations, reconciling systems processing high volumes of transactions.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to think outside the box and be creative in solving problems.
• Experience implementing new systems and/or processes.
• Ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly.
• Strong sense of ownership and not afraid to take initiative to solve problems.
• Continuous improvement mindset taking initiative to research and adapt new technologies and methodologies.
• Experience working with Accounting and Transactional systems, navigating UIs, exporting and analyzing data, etc.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-To-Have Requirements

• Practical experience with Blackline or similar software.
• Experience / Good working knowledge of data management/data processing, SQL databases, Snowflake databases, Power BI, etc.
• Experience in the payments/Ecommerce industries or similar.
• Experience working with the Atlassian suite of tools, like JIRA and Confluence.
• Experience with process documentation.
