Our Finance client located in downtown Calgary is seeking a Financial Analyst to join their team on a contract basis with the opportunity to extend. This position will provide support with short and long-range planning, aiding in strategic decision-making as well as operations. • Manage accounts receivable, and payable processes and reconciliation of related accounts.
• Develop process documentation and workflows to enhance business efficiency.
• Assist with financial compliance and contribute to internal control assessments.
• Contribute to month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closing and reviews.
• Aid in the audit process by providing necessary analysis and supporting documentation.
• Support the adoption and implementation of new IT systems.
• Ad hoc duties as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or Commerce.
• CPA, CFA, MBA preferred.
• Must have minimum 5 years’ experience in Finance and/or Accounting.
• Strong analytical, financial modeling, and forecasting skills including financial statement analysis.
• Excellent organization and attention to detail.
• Strong understanding of financial systems and processes.
• Confident in Microsoft Office suite and Microsoft 365 an asset.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
