ICE CREAM MAKER Village Ice Cream is on an exciting journey to find a seasonal part-time Ice Cream Maker for our University District location! As a recognized member of, and advocate for the communities we serve, we’re looking for someone who is collaborative, a skilled communicator, and has a passion for food and cooking. In any given week, Ice Cream Makers are working to fun tunes while churning out large batches of ice cream and getting early previews and tastes of upcoming seasonal flavours. If this sounds like you, we’d love to meet you (over an ice cream of course!) As Ice Cream Maker with Village Ice Cream, you will:Follow recipes to produce up to 24 batches of ice cream a day. Prepare ingredients and produce homemade bases and inclusions such as hot fudge, caramel sauces, and vanilla syrup. Accurately track inventory of buckets, pints, toppings, and bases to inform the daily production plan. Communicate clearly and effectively with all members of the team including the Back of House, Front of House, and Leadership Team. Thoughtfully complete daily cleaning tasks to ensure all areas of the kitchen are clean and organized. Follow Company policies as well as proper food health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.We think you will thrive in this role if you:Have a passion for food and cooking. Value cleanliness and organization. Are both self-motivated and a dedicated team player. Have great communication skills and a professional, friendly attitude. Are willing to learn and follow instructions with precision as well as give great attention to detail. Can stand up to eight hours and can lift 50lbs repeatedly.Our compensation offer for this role includes:$15.00/hour + tips starting wage with incremental, hour-based raises.
