With our head office in Calgary, and regional offices in Greater Edmonton, Red Deer and Lethbridge, we have central and southern Alberta covered.We offer work with meaning, incredible opportunities for development, work life balance and opportunities to contribute to your community.Join our team!Reporting to the Manager, Safety Performance supports knowledge development and transfer initiatives through the evaluation, development and implementation of learning, training, and knowledge-based materials, tools and methodologies in support of Operations departments.The candidate must possess advanced communication skills, both oral and written, and must demonstrate initiative, a positive attitude and have superior learning and knowledge development abilities. Responsibilities:

  • Engages with key business stakeholders to assist in the collaborative development of learning, training and/or knowledge-based initiatives and programs in support of business objectives.
  • Works with internal Subject Matter Experts on content design, development, implementation and delivery strategies for required learning materials.
  • Develops, implements and supports the delivery of programming based on new or changing business requirements, including modification or updates to existing programs and delivery strategies as required.
  • Supports business units in the development of Desk Procedures and other knowledge-based tools and job aids.
  • Identifies and influences best practices for knowledge development and transfer within Operations.
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of learning programming to ensure continuous development and business improvement.
Requirements
  • A degree in Education, Business, Communications or equivalent with a specialization in adult learning or technical writing/instructional design with a focus on knowledge development for learning/training environments is required.
  • A minimum of 4 years of learner programming development and delivery experience in a technical or industrial environment (utility experience preferred) is required.
  • Proven ability/experience in the above noted responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing, planning, implementing and delivering training, knowledge and learner based initiatives.
  • Experience working with and coaching teams through knowledge development and knowledge transfer initiatives.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, results oriented environment.
  • Strong knowledge of SharePoint, MS Office and instructional design technologies.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interface with team members and customers to promote positive outcomes.
  • Proven track record of good attendance and job performance.
