Job Description

Maintenance Millwright/MechanicLocation: Calgary, ABIndustry: Foodamp; Beverage Manufacturing Job Overview The Maintenance Millwright will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial mechanical and electrical systems in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment (conveyors, mixers, packaging machines, pumps, motors, etc.).
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Conduct welding, fabrication, and machining as needed for equipment repairs.
  • Ensure all work complies with food safety and OH amp;S regulations.
  • Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and work orders in the CMMS system.
  • Respond promptly to breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
  • Work collaboratively with production, quality, and engineering teams.
Qualificationsamp; Experience
  • Red Seal Certification/Industrial Mechanic/Millwright ticket) required.
  • 2+ years of millwright experience in manufacturing industry, or a related industry.
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems, PLCs, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
  • Experience with packaging, filling, and processing equipment (an asset).
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed.
  • Familiarity with CMMS software.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong commitment to safety, sanitation, and quality standards.
