Job Description

Payroll AdministratorOn behalf of our client, Procom is seeking a Payroll Administrator for a 9 month contract, in Calgary, AB.Payroll Administrator Job DetailsThe Payroll Administrator is responsible for supporting payroll processing in compliance with legislative guidelines. Responsible for the preparation and processing of bi-weekly payroll for employees; review and ensure accuracy of time card entries; enter and process other payroll related earnings/deductionsPayroll Administrator Responsibilities

  • Responsible to support a full-cycle, bi-weekly and weekly payrolls for multiple legal entities across Canada
  • Processing and balancing of adjustments, retroactive pay and terminations
  • Ensuring regulatory requirements and controls are adhered to in order to generate timely and compliant payrolls
  • Calculating/withholding of garnishees
  • ROE submission, editing, trouble shooting
  • Enter/Verify Auto Deposit information and TD1 forms
  • Enter/Verify timesheet adjustments and other compensations
  • Payments to third party vendors for garnishees and RRSPs
  • Respond to employee and internal/external inquiries
  • Filing and other administrative duties as required
Payroll Administrator Must Have Skills
  • 4-7years’ experience in a high-volume, fast-paced payroll environment
  • PCP Certification desired
  • Excellent organization and the ability to multi-task
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Time management skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills and works well in a team environment
  • Must possess keen analytical and trouble-shooting skills
  • Flexibility to work overtime as required to meet deadlines
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
  • Proficiency in additional MS Applications: Outlook, Word
