You will realize that the sky is the limit to your growth–all while having fun!About the RoleAs a Principal Machine Learning engineer on the Financial ML team, you will have the opportunity to tackle sophisticated problems, which comes with developing and delivering global critical enterprise software using your expertise in design, coding, algorithms, and complexity analysis. Your primary focus will be to:

• Lead exploration, design and execution of ML models and frameworks that deliver value to our users
• Work closely with engineers and product managers to take services from inception to production
• Takes ownership for finding creative solutions that move projects forward
• Analyze, design, program, debug, and modify software improvements
• Take initiative, exhibit creative thinking, have the determination to turn data into real-life insights
• Mentor and guide other engineers
• Write elegant code that exemplifies standard methodologies for automation, observability, testing, and service interaction using design patterns, object orientation, and machine learning frameworks
• Work together with team mates on code reviews, knowledge share, hackathons, etc.

About YouBasic Qualifications

• 8yrs+ experience with an object-oriented or functional language such as Python, Java, Scala, etc.
• 3 or more years of confirmed experience with software development lifecycle methodologies
• 5 or more years of confirmed experience working with Product Managers and understanding business requirements

Other Qualifications

• Strong sense of ownership and delivery of finished products. A balance between craftsmanship and the need to ship products to customers
• Leads a team in translating business use cases into concrete software problems, applying innovative technologies and consistently balances algorithmic elegance with engineering considerations such as scale and maintenance and overhead
• Active and influential contributor in the design of systems and services, accounting for stability, scalability, performance and observability as first-class considerations
• Provides thoughtful, productive, and humble code review feedback that is seen by teammates as a significant improvement
• Proven experience with the development of software systems and use of machine learning algorithms in real-life products
• Must be a strong teammate with great communication and interpersonal skills
• Comprehensive understanding of programming and design patterns
• Shown familiarity UML modeling and diagrams
• Experience with unit testing and continuous integration tools
• Experience with JSON, Protobuf, Avro, or other data structures and integration technologies.
• Experience designing and developing APIs for use in business applications (knowledge of Financials products a plus)
• Maintains a network of multi-functional relationships that represent a source of new information and ideas for the team.
