Job Description

Project CoordinatorOn behalf of our client, Procom is seeking a Project Coordinator for a 9 month contract, in Calgary, AB.Project Coordinator Job DetailsThe Project Coordinator will work closely with resources at all levels including Directors, Project Managers, Business Analysts, and Stakeholders. This role supports the PMO and Project Managers in the Project Delivery lifecycle, maintaining records and providing reporting.Project Coordinator Responsibilities

  • Ensuring project compliance with delivery frameworksamp; controls.
  • Maintaining project documentaitionamp; approvals for audit purposes.
  • Providing Quality Control support with regard to Processes, Documentation and effective communication.
  • Supporting stage gate, delivery reviews, assessments and health checks on executing projectsamp; programs to ensure delivery is aligned with business valueamp; intent.
  • Providing compliance recommendations should there be misalignments.
Planning and Assurance:
  • Compile data from multiple sources and analyze details to identify progress
  • Produce and publish reports to communicate progress
  • Ensure effective document management of project artifacts
  • Facilitate effective, consistent project management practices across TNO enabling alignmentamp; continued evolution
  • Createamp; facilitate effective communication channels amongst the Project Management community
  • Inform delivery leadership, PMO principal and project/program leadership of potential risks, concerns and recommendations. Escalate to stakeholders as required.
  • Ensure audit vault is accurate for all impacting projects
Communication and Quality Control:
  • Facilitate meetings at all levels of the organization
  • Facilitate conversations to resolve blockers, create mitigation strategies and keep us moving forward
  • Proactively communicate potentially critical/political/challenging recommendations and issues
  • Communicate potential program level risks and issues and recommend mitigation strategies
  • Executing quality control for Projectamp; Program delivery artifacts to ensure content and value for project stakeholders
Leadership:
  • Ability to see and communication the big picture while continuing to understand the details
  • Lead initiatives and act as a change agent (embraces change and helps other to embrace it)
  • Build project team respect through open and honest conflict mediation
  • Build and maintain relationships with the all business stakeholders and partners

  • Actively participate and contribute to the business community
  • Various other duties as required
Project Coordinator Must Have Skills
  • Degree or equivalent in an IT-related discipline or work related experience.
  • 5+ years’ experience in a Project Coordination role within IT and/or cyber security.
  • Working in an Agile software and Waterfall development environment is a strong asset
  • Knowledge of the telecommunications (cable, internet, telephony, wireless) industry is an asset
  • Familiarity with SharePoint/Mingle and Visio is an asset
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Project is an asset
  • Excellent communication (written, oral, and listening)
  • Strong creative and analytical thinking abilities
  • Strong problem solving and decision making abilities
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills at various levels of the organization
  • Good knowledge of various approaches or technique to properly elicit or confirm requirements
  • Good understanding of business processes and rules and they apply to business success
