Job Description

Location: Brampton, Ontario, CanadaJob Type: Full-Time, Permanent, On-siteSalary Range: $100,000 to $110,000Description:Join our client #39;s private practice in state-of-the-art multidisciplinary clinics, where you will assess and diagnose behavioral, emotional, and cognitive disorders. As a Psychologist, you will provide therapy, conduct research, and apply psychological theories to help clients enhance their psychological, physical, intellectual, emotional, social, and interpersonal functioning.Work Week Duration:Approximately 40 hours per weekJob Duties:

  • Examine and assess behavior; diagnose behavioral, emotional, and cognitive disorders; counsel clients; and provide therapy.
  • Assist clients in managing physical illnesses and disorders.
  • Counsel individuals and groups to achieve more effective personal, social, and vocational development and adjustment, offering mediation services as needed.
  • Use standard psychological tests for assessment.
  • Plan and evaluate intervention programs.
  • Apply psychological theories and principles related to behavior and mental processes to develop treatment programs.
  • Formulate hypotheses, design experiments, review literature, conduct studies, and publish research papers, educational texts, and articles.
  • Present findings at conferences, workshops, or symposia.
  • Provide consultation services to government and other organizations.
  • Conduct applied and/or experimental research.
Qualifications:
  • Certification by the College of Psychologists of Ontario (CPO) and in good standing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to ongoing medical education.
  • Ability to manage a diverse range of health issues in patients of all age groups.
  • High standards of discipline, punctuality, courtesy, ethics, a strong moral compass, and compassion.
