Job Description

The Purchasing Lead’s responsibilities include the following: · Develop and implement procurement strategies tailored to the powerline industry;· Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements;· Monitor market trends and conditions specific to powerline materials and equipment;· Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance for powerline-related materials and services;· Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and contractors;· Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and address any issues promptly;· Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers and contractors;· Ensure compliance with contractual agreements and procurement policies;· Manage contract renewals and extensions specific to powerline projects;· Oversee the day-to-day procurement activities and ensure timely delivery of powerline materials and services;· Manage the procurement team, providing guidance, training, and support;· Ensure accurate and up-to-date procurement records and documentation;· Monitor procurement budgets and expenditures related to powerline projects;· Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to reduce expenses;· Prepare reports and analyses on procurement activities and performance;· Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to powerline procurement;· Identify and mitigate risks associated with the procurement process; · Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure ethical and transparent procurement practices; and· Previous work experience in a European country is an asset.Language of Work: English$46.15/hour; typical hours of work determined by project work schedules and are subject to change; working 37.5 hours a week.
