QA Automation SpecialistOn behalf of our client, Procom is seeking a QA Automation Specialist for a 4 months contract in Calgary AB.QA Automation Specialist Job DetailsSeeking an experienced QA Automation Specialist to assist with the transition to newly developed applications. QA Automation Specialist ResponsibilitiesPerform both automated and manual tests and verify bugs as part of an Agile Scrum team. Develop automated tests (UI, API, e2e, Performance) and integrate into a CI/CD environment. Build and maintain our growing automation test infrastructure using tools such as Jest and Playwright. Write high-quality automation testing code that is clean, readable and maintainable. Develop efficient, readable and sustainable code following AER coding best practices and standards. Work with technical leads to conduct root cause analysis of issues, review new and existing code and/or perform unit testing. Investigate areas for improvement (test case maintenance) in existing Test Automation Suite and subsequently develop these modifications. Compile timely, comprehensive, and accurate documentation as requested by project teams. Assist with application support tasks as required.QA Automation Specialist Mandatory Skills5 years of Test Automation experience, with hands-on experience building automation testing infrastructure and test harnesses. Strong experience with test automation tools, such as:Selenium WebDriver with Java, TestNG framework, Page Object Modal (POM), MAVEN and ReadyAPI (SOAP services testing), Postman for both UI and API driven testing. Knowledge and experience creating test automation scripts using Playwright, Jest, JavaScript, Python and Selenium. Strong understanding and experience within an agile software development life cycle. Experience working with modern web applications, and familiarity with technologies such as JavaScript, ReactJS, Node.js, Jenkins, Docker, Azure, Jira, GitHub and architecture styles such as Microservices. Experience working with Test Case Management tools. Experience creating and tracking bugs through issue tracking systems. Bachelor #39;s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline. QA Automation Specialist Nice to Have:Experience working with Test Case Management tools. Experience creating and tracking bugs through issue tracking systems. A pragmatic approach to the testing discipline, know how to judge what is important and what is not important.
