Senior IT Project ManagerOn behalf of our client, Procom is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager for a 24-month contract.Senior IT Project Manager Job Details:Our valued client requires a Senior IT Project Manager with industry proven experience supporting implementation projects, from small to large scale, often with multiple workstreams implementing several solution components.Senior IT Project Manager Responsibilities:Leads overall project planning; manages the overall running of the project. Ensures overall project outcomes and deliverables are met. Leads the project team. Coordinates IT resources and activities (Client Solutions, Operations, Application Support, etc.). Responsible for overall technical decisions as they relate to corporate IT standards, processes and methodologies. Responsible for following processes within the IT-PMO (Project Management Office). Responsible for following the Software Solutions Methodology (SSM), including ensuring that Touchpoints to IT groups and other groups within The Corporation are completed. Manages charter, plan, budget, risks/issues, project decisions, Project Change Requests (PCRs), and Project Close. Provide status updates to the Project Sponsor and project governance committee(s). Strong facilitation, verbal and written communication skills to communicate both internally and externally with personnel at all levels. Receive and execute direction from IT Leader and IT Client Solutions portfolio lead. Ability to influence others without direct supervisory control. Assist other project leads in their individual deliverables and ensure they are completed. Requirements Specification documents. Architecture Design covering all components. Database Analysis and Design covering all components. Test Plan/Cases. Operations Guides. User Acceptance Test (UAT) Signoffs. Training and Reference materials as required. Service Desk Scripts. Production Deployment Signoffs. Warranty Agreements. Ability to work on-site is strongly desired. This position will be a hybrid position combining in-office duties and remote work.Senior IT Project Manager Must Have Skills:Six (6) years – Proven experience managing projects for large corporate entities with a focus on implementing overarching enterprise systems for use in multiple business areas within the corporation.Ten (10) years - Overall IT project management experience (the majority of this experience should have been practiced in accordance with the generally accepted good practices identified in PMI’s PMBOK Guide, in recent years).Ten (10) years - Proven experience in project management of large, complex technology projects, or program of projects; size of projects may be defined in terms of budget, staff involvement, organizational impact, complexity/number of stakeholders and size of organization.Ten (10) years - Proven experience leading and supporting multidisciplinary project teams consisting of internal staff from IT and clients, contractors, and vendors.Ten (10) years - Project resource planning and participation/input into project team resourcing.Senior IT Project Manager Nice to Have Skills:Six (6) years - Previous work experience with Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems. Six (6) years - Previous work experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 systems Six (6) years - Previous work experience with municipal or other large government organizations.Senior IT Project Manager Assignment Length:24 monthsSenior IT Project Manager Job Location:Calgary, Alberta – Hybrid
