Our Solution Architects craft and develop technical architectures to integrate multiple systems or applications producing complete solutions for our clients.Your future duties and responsibilities: • Work on high-functioning agile teams as the solution architect and participate in requirement design and architectural deliverables, as well as solving difficult problems with the team• Provide architectural guidance and leadership to teams and individuals, as appropriate• Give recommendations and creative alternatives to the business, work closely with the business development team, and work as a specialist to advise key partners on software development for a wide variety of business applications and projects• Understand and respect procedures and policies such as project management, configuration management, version management, privacy, and security• Understand and support testing methods, testing strategy development and testing processes• Develop documentation to support the results of architectural or technical analysis• Build detailed architectures in line with the strategic and tactical objectives while respecting standard architectures and norms, draft and detail the structure, connections, and links with business processes, work groups, data, applications, users’ interfaces, applications interfaces, infrastructures, and network topology• Be part of a dynamic organization that seeks to investigate new technologies, offering expertise, creativity, and a top-tier professional #39;s point of view to the team, translate architectural decisions into general concepts, and review and create artifacts to ensure harmony with the global architecture• Stay current with technology trends, industry innovation, emerging best practices, and be an advocate and champion for cutting edge technology• Attend conferences and participate in the local development community to bring modern and relevant solutions to our clients, be innovative and forward-thinking when developing solutionsRequired qualifications to be successful in this role: • Demonstrated ability in solution architecture, working with strategic or commercial applications and solutions• Very good understanding of solution architecture concepts and methods• Previous experience in application development in a hands-on technical role, such as developer or database administrator• Experience in the design and development of integration components to integrate COTS products with enterprise services• Experience modeling sophisticated business processes and translating them into understandable IT architectures and designs• Experience in the design and development of systems and services focusing on scalability, high performance, and optimization• Demonstrated experience in leading the development of solution architectures for the replacement of and/or integrating new solutions with legacy mainframe-based applications• Proven experience in architecture planning, management, associated methods, and processes• Experience with the Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF)• Demonstrated experience conducting and documenting assessments related to security and risk• Experience working with Energy sector clientsDesired:• Experience with working on large scale application management or modernization• Degree in IT, computer science, software development, or another related field• IT and architecture certifications (e.g. AWS Architecture Certification, TOGAF)Preference for candidates with Midstream experienceLocation: CalgaryHybrid (2-3 days onsite with client)#LI-ST3Skills:Agile ArchitectureApplication DevelopmentBusiness Process ModellingEnglishIntegration ArchitectureLegacy System Integration Performance TuningSecurity AssessmentSolution AnalysisSolution DesignSolutions ArchitectureThreat Risk AssessmentWhat you can expect from us: Insights you can act onWhile technology is at the heart of our clients’ digital transformation, we understand that people are at the heart of business success.
