Located in Calgaryamp; Leduc with projects throughout Western Canada, we are a leader in the industry for turn-key new construction, maintenance and prefabrication.To learn more about us, please visit: alstargroup.caAbout the OpportunityAlstar has an exciting opportunity for multiple Structural Welders (Shop) - Journeyman/Apprentice to work at our SE Calgary location (not transit accessible) in our Structural Steel Department.In this position, you will be primarily responsible for performing welding operations and working primarily on the shop floor.Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Operating basic hand tools and powered tools (e.g., drills, disc grinders)Setting up workstations efficiently for project execution in the shopUtilizing equipment according to company proceduresEnsuring safety and compliance with established proceduresMaintaining housekeeping standards for a clean work environmentReporting equipment issues promptly for servicing or repairExecuting general tasks assigned by the supervisorAccurately completing timesheets to track work hoursActively supporting quality and safety programsMore About YouTo qualify for this role, you must have at least 6 months of experience in Structural Welding.
