Job Description

RoleReporting to the Procurement Manager, the Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse. This role involves coordinating and managing the receiving, storage, and distribution of materials, as well as maintaining accurate inventory records. The Warehouse Coordinator is also responsible for ensuring a safe and organized work environment and may assist with shipping and logistics when needed.Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse personnel
  • Oversee receiving, inspecting, and storing incoming materials
  • Organize and maintain inventory records in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Coordinate the distribution of materials to internal departments and job sites
  • Monitor inventory levels and order replenishment as needed
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe work environment
  • Implement and maintain warehouse best practices and standard operating procedures
  • Train and develop warehouse staff to improve performance and efficiency
  • Assist with shipping and logistics, including packaging, labeling, and arranging transportation
  • Perform regular inventory audits to reconcile physical stock with records
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline warehouse operations
  • Communicate and collaborate with other departments to meet organizational goals and objectives
  • Provide technical material support to the procurement group
Requirements
  • At least 3-5 years of experience working in the Utility sector
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record required
  • Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles is an asset
  • Strong understanding of computer programs such as Microsoft, Teams and Viewpoint would be considered an asset
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to effectively supervise and lead a team
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Forklift, zoom boom, man lift and overhead crane certification and experience considered an asset
  • Able to handle difficult customers with diplomacy and tact
  • Knowledge of logistics, including carriers, shipping policies and procedures
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding role
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
