Job DescriptionDe Beers Group Canada has an opportunity for highly motivated and energetic Water Management Specialist.Reporting to the Environment and Permitting Superintendent, the role is based within the Safety, Health, Environment, Risk and Training department. This position will be involved in all aspects of the environmental program for the mine, with a particular focus on water.The Water Management Specialist will be instrumental in leading Life-of-Mine and mid-range water management planning for the Gahcho Kue Mine. The role will manage the complex environmental database and creating technical reports for internal and external stakeholders. The Water Management Specialist will work with field staff, consultants, and environmental laboratories with the objective of ensuring all relevant data is entered into the database and maintained with necessary quality assurance. The ideal candidate is one who has a keen eye for continuous improvement opportunities, can quickly build relationships with key stakeholders, and one who is committed to safe work practices, while striving for zero harm.
