Job Description

Connective is a dynamic non-profit organization that provides innovative programming in the social services sector. We strive to create safe, healthy, and inclusive communities for all.ROLE PURPOSEThis role will be responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of new programs or specific projects as assigned to the role. This includes developing project plans, monitoring achievement of key milestones, and ensuring adherence to scope and agreed timeframes.HOURSMonday to Friday 0900 - 1700REPORTING AND WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

  • Reports and is accountable to the Senior Manager of Implementation, or their designate(s)
  • Participates as a member of the Connective Administrative Support Team
  • Liaises with staff of government agencies, consultants, and other partners as necessary
  • Liaises with the staff of Connective as necessary
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Provides project management support to program teams in new service development or in service changes
  • Leads the implementation of small strategic projects, as assigned
  • Develops project plans and schedules for new programs or projects
  • Monitors adherence to project schedule and scope
  • Works in collaboration with program and administrative staff to support the successful delivery of new programs and assigned project
  • Develops and maintains required documentation for project governance, contracts, and partnerships
  • Assesses project success and shares learnings for application on other projects
WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Functions independently, while remaining a crucial member of the support team.
  • Adheres to Connective policies and procedures.
  • Available to work flexible hours as needed. May include some evenings/weekends, as determined by project needs and schedules.
  • Works remotely, with flexibility to occasionally attend program sites or meetings throughout the Lower Mainland, BC (including Vancouver, Coquitlam, Surrey, and Abbotsford). Candidates based in Whitehorse, Yukon or Prince George, BC, with ability to periodically attend our program sites in the community, would also be considered.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
  • A relevant bachelor’s degree or a combination of applicable education and experience
  • Three to five years of related/transferable experience leading or contributing to projects within non-profit or public sector
  • Strong understanding of project management fundamentals. Education or training in project management is an asset
  • Excellent communication skills, including listening, verbal, and written communication
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a positive approach to working relationships with team members, partners, service users and other interested parties
  • Ability to be flexible to accommodate interruptions, adjust priorities and support the team wherever necessary for the benefit of the project
  • Proficient user of Microsoft software and online meeting platforms
  • Excellent time management and organization skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to present information in an insightful and structured manner (written and verbal)
REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to successfully complete a Vulnerable Persons Criminal Records Check
  • Ability to successfully pass a reference check
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Proof of Covid-19 Vaccination
ANNUAL SALARY
  • 55,600 - 68,000
