The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in supply chain management, vendor relations, and strategic planning. This role requires a keen understanding of hospitality industry dynamics, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences through efficient and effective supply chain operations.Responsibilities include understanding the logistics, distribution, purchasing and procurement, production, inventory management and profitability drivers of the operations supply chain, including foodamp; beverage, retail, and general hospitality supplies. The DSC will advance strategies to reduce supply costs, develop process improvements, implement best practices in assigned supply chains. They will drive continuous analyses of purchasing trends, inventory controls, and cost performance. DSC will oversee vendor analysis and negotiations and drive corporate partnerships.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive supply chain strategy that aligns with the resort #39;s overall business goals and objectives. Collaborate with senior management to identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and sustainability initiatives within the supply chain.
  • Vendor Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and partners to ensure timely and high-quality procurement of goods and services. Negotiate favorable terms, contracts, and pricing agreements while maintaining a focus on quality and guest satisfaction.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels, demand forecasting, and replenishment processes to optimize stock levels and minimize excess or obsolete inventory. Implement inventory control measures to prevent shortages and maintain optimal stock availability.
  • Logistics and Distribution: Lead the logistics and transportation operations to ensure timely and secure delivery of equipment and supplies to remote heli-ski locations. Collaborate with transportation partners to optimize routes, reduce lead times, and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement rigorous quality control processes to ensure all procured goods meet the resort #39;s high standards for quality, safety, and sustainability. Develop and maintain vendor performance metrics to track and improve supplier performance.
  • Cost Management: Monitor and manage supply chain costs, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements. Analyze expenditure data and provide regular reports to the executive team on budget performance and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with various departments, including Foodamp; Beverage, Hospitality, Maintenance, and Mountain Operations, to understand their supply chain needs and ensure seamless coordination of procurement activities.
  • Technology Integration: Leverage technology solutions, such as supply chain management software and analytics tools, to enhance visibility, traceability, and data-driven decision-making within the supply chain.
  • Sustainability Initiatives: Drive sustainability efforts by identifying eco-friendly alternatives, reducing waste, and implementing sustainable practices across the supply chain process.
  • Team Leadership: Provide strong leadership and direction to the supply chain team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Mentor, train, and develop team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.
  • Work with other leaders of CMH to build a culture that prioritizes safety, the best experience for employees and guests, recognizes our responsibility to communities and the mountain environment in which we are so privileged to operate, and achieves leading financial results.
  • Train, participate in, and provide support as required during emergency response situations.
  • Support CMH Sustainability and DEI initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (8+ years) in supply chain management or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership role within hospitality or a related industry.

  • In-depth knowledge of supply chain best practices, procurement strategies, and inventory management principles.
  • Familiarity with hospitality operations and industry-specific supply chain challenges.
  • Demonstrates integrity, discretion, and problem solving.
  • Able to communicate in an effective and timely manner over the phone, in-person, and in written communication.
  • Demonstrated ability to model and encourage change at all levels of an organization.
  • Has demonstrated attention-to-detail, with accurate data-entry skills and abilities.
  • Trustworthy and self-directed in completing the core functions of the role.
  • Able to identify potential issues and quickly work with the team to manage and respond to such situations in a timely and professional manner.
  • Sees projects through to completion including follow-up on any identified issues.
  • Confidence to interact with all levels of the company in a hub-and-spoke model in which many individuals are remote.
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and professional working relationships.
  • Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office, and other relevant software platforms.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and tracking operational expenses.
  • Able to prioritize tasks in a complex and fast-paced environment with seasonal workload fluctuations and changing priorities.
Working Conditions
  • Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move up to 40 pounds on an occasional basis.
  • Manual dexterity to operate a computer and other common office equipment on a constant basis.
  • This position may require you to work on evenings, weekends, and holidays based on the seasonal needs of the business.
  • This position will require travel to CMH lodges and operating areas on an occasional basis.
