Classroom Teacher AHTAHKAKOHPAhtahkakohp School is accepting applications for a Classroom Teacher position for the 2025-2026 School Year.Ahtahkakohp School is located on Ahtahkakohp Cree Nation.KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS AND ABILITIES / ATTRIBUTES:•Develop and monitor program workplans, objectives and outcomes•Ability to embed local First Nation culture into teaching practice•Implement new methodologies and strategies to provide a creative, engaged, and inclusive classroom experience•Tutor students•Provide academic support to students •Participate in staff meetings, educational conferences, workshops as directed•Demonstrated ability to connect with children in a student-centered learning environment in addition to having an interest or willingness to connect with students outside of the classroom; •Plan and supervise class projects, field trips, and extra-curricular activities•Be able to prepare students for further educational goals•Participation in curriculum development as required•Successful teaching experience or training; •Effective interpersonal and communication skills; •Proven ability to work collaboratively and an ability to work in a team environment.Qualifications:•A Bachelor Degree in Education.•Minimum two (2) years of teaching experience.•Saskatchewan Professional A Teachers #39; Certification.•Experience working within First Nations #39; Schools and Communities.•Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in computer software applications (i.e. Microsoft-Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, etc.).•Standard First Aid/CPR •Must successfully complete Criminal Records Check with Vulnerable Sector SearchApplication Package must include:•Cover letteramp; Resume including detailed work history and education information•A copy of Saskatchewan Professional Teaching Certificate•3 Professional references•A current, clear Criminal reference chick (CPIC), vulnerable sector searchPlease Send your application package via fax or email to:Attention: Diane Ahenakew - Director of EducationSend resume by, fax # (306) 468-2344 or d.ahenakew@tsec.caClosing Date: Open Until FilledPlease Note that only those candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.
