Coating Technician IPrimary Role FocusThe Coating Technician I is primarily responsible for the application of surface enhancements through a Plasma Enhanced Chemical Vapour Deposition (PECVD) process. This includes, but is not limited to, surface preparation of parts, verification of process specifications, and machine operation. This role reports to the Internal Manufacturing Manager.Key Tasks and Responsibilities• Identify, pick and return treatments correctly according to work schedule• Coating of products using dip tanks and gas machines according to specification• Demonstrated ability to apply coating within correct thickness range• Preventative maintenance of the machinery and booths according to instruction• Identify and resolve all process and equipment failure• Visually inspect product to ensure quality control• Meticulous with keeping the work area cleaned and organized• Communication with Order Management, Quality Control, Production, Inventory, and Warehouse groups• Ensure compliance with Packers Plus Health and Safety Program• Any other requirements to reach product realizationPosition Requirements Experience and Skills• Experience in Coating Industry setting an asset• Basic knowledge of gas deprivation, vapors, and coating• Able to work in a fast pace environment• Experience is quality control is an asset• Basic knowledge of computers including the Microsoft ExcelPhysical, Business and Safety Requirements• Compliance with Packers Plus Health and Safety Program• Position is Safety Sensitive and subject to a pre-employment medical assessment and drugamp; alcohol testing• Subject to post-incident and reasonable-cause drugamp; alcohol testing• Able to work various shifts and overtime as required• Lifting/carrying up to 50lbs• Some use of computer monitor, keyboard, and mouseCompetenciesPackers Plus Values• Customer Intimacy• Operational Excellence• InnovationRole Competencies• Communication• Planningamp; Organizing• Problem Solving• Technical/Functional Job Skill/Knowledge• Action Oriented• Self-Management• Flexibility/AdaptabilityPowered by JazzHR
