Job Description

We are looking for On-Call/Casual Security Officers for Castlegar Airport with weekday and weekend availability.Payrate: $19/hrYour Must-Haves:

• BC Security License
• Have lived in Canada for 5 or more years in order to obtain airport clearance
• 1-2 year #39;s of Security experience
• You have excellent problem solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• You have excellent verbal and written English communication skills
• Comfortable standing for long periods and working both indoors and outdoors in a range of weather conditions

Some of your responsibilities include:

• Patrolling site, observing and reporting any occurrences/breaches immediately
• Offering first class customer service to both client and general public
• Proactively responding to and resolving emergency situations and conflicts
• Maintaining detailed and accurate daily logs and incident reports
• Effectively communicating problems or concerns to the Site Supervisor
• Ensuring that all incidents are properly recorded in the occurrence log/incident form
• Contacting and liaising with police personnel if necessary
• Maintain ongoing knowledge of and perform all duties with high safety standards

Your Nice-To-Haves:

• Previous experience working at an airport
• Bylaw level 1
• Hold OFA 1 or OFA 2
