BRAKE PRESS OPERATOR - DAYS FULL TIMEApplicant MUST able to attend an in-person meetingPosition/Duties Description:

• Successful candidate will participate in the operation of bending and shaping metal parts in our manufacturing plant on our Brake Press.
• Comfortable with reading and interpreting blueprints and executing the final product as required, follow verbal instructions.
• Ensure all safety controls are in place.
• Safely load and unload machine throughout the shift.
• Capable of using other precision tools such as; caliper, measuring tape, height gauges, form gauges and templates.
• Must practice safe lifting and work procedures at all times.
• Participate in Company 5S program by maintaining workstation cleanliness.
• Assist in other duties as required.
• This is a day shift position (Monday - Thursday 6:00 am - 4:30 am) (40 hour work week).
• Continuous standing for extended periods of time
• Some heavy lifting, carrying and handling of objects; able to lift up to and including 50 lbs
• Regular use of hands, wrists, arms, shoulders, bending/stretching, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, walking, pushing/pulling
• Repetitive motion and other job specific requirements

Qualifications:

• 6-12 months of experience in a brake press/manufacturing environment is a definite asset.
• Must have good math skills.
• Ability to work with fellow team members and also individually as required.
• Must demonstrate quality and attention to work details.
• Can follow written and verbal instructions.
• Shows exceptional people skills with a ‘can do’ attitude.
• Has excellent attention to details along with great physical and mental capacity.

Requirements:

• Proof of Secondary School Diploma may be required
• Ability to read and follow work instructions and safety rules and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• A valid driver’s license or transportation required, as we are located in Cathcart ON, 10 minutes East of Woodstock and 10 minutes West of Burford, and not on a bus route.
