  • Various security clearances - reliability, secret, or top secret
  • Strict adherence to the values of the Public Service, DND, as well as the mandate of the Chief Professional Conduct and Culture (CPCC)
  • Possession of a valid unrestricted driver #39;s license in the province/territory of employment
  • Possession of a valid and unrestricted driver #39;s license with Air Brake Endorsement in the province/territory of employment
  • Eligibility and willingness to obtain and maintain a DND Driver #39;s License (DND 404)
  • Possession of a valid provincial Vehicle Inspector Certificate Class 3 (or equivalent) with Air Brakes Endorsement in the province/territory of employment
  • Eligibility and willingness to obtain and maintain relevant trade membership as a fully licensed Technician, as required by the position
  • Must be willing and able to safely perform a variety of physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Must be willing and able to climb, stand, walk, lift, bend, pull and/or push, grasp, reach, stoop, sit and crouch for extended periods of time
  • Must be willing and able to wear CSA approved safety footwear and other personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
  • Must complete periodic departmental and trade training and/or upgrading as required
