Job Description

Location: 530 West Broadway, Vancouver BC, Canada Core hours: Monday to Friday from 8am – 4:30pm PSTWe value collaboration, both in-person and remotely. This position is classified as Hybrid under our Hybrid Work Program Policy, where this position is required to be onsite 1-2 days per week.Role SummaryAs the Business Development Specialist, you will generate new relationships with prospective Spa Partners and follow up on new leads to begin the qualification and application process for opening new accounts. You will review Spa Partner Applications and receive target call lists from a variety of sources, and then proactively call these leads to identify potential new Eminence Spa Partners. You will work closely with assigned territory’s Outside Sales Representatives and Outside Sales Managers to convert leads into active accounts. As the Business Development Specialist, you will report directly to the Business Development Team Lead.Responsibilities

  • Receive new Spa Partner Applications and begin the review process by conducting research, collaborating with the Outside sales teams, and following up with each applicant
  • Qualify leads: Find out lead information and needs, and explain our expectations regarding licensing (facility and staff), opening orders and minimum order amounts
  • Once lead is qualified, gather contact information, log all lead details in lead tracker, send necessary prospecting packages to the decision maker and forward lead information to the OSR for follow-up
  • Follow-up with leads after initial contact to confirm that Information Packages and/or samples were received and that they have been in touch with the OSR.
  • Complete follow-up with all leads generated from in-person and virtual tradeshows within a 48-hour to six-week period (approx. 20-25 tradeshows and events per year)
  • Attend and support with various in-person and/or tradeshows or networking events throughout the year
  • Research and discover new business opportunities by prospecting and cold calling within assigned geographical territories
  • Qualify and follow up with Spa Partner leads and partner with OSRs to convert to an active new account
  • Manage the tracking of leads and provide accurate, informative, and actionable reports in a timely manner to leaders and OSRs
  • Establish relationships and maintain extraordinary business relations with Spa Partner leads and all external contacts
  • Perform special projects as assigned, which may include extensive research and report writing
Qualifications
  • 3-4 years of Sales experience
  • 3-4 years of Customer Service experience
  • 1-2 years of experience in making outbound calls and prospecting
  • Ability to travel throughout North America 10% of the year (must have appropriate documentation to enable travel freely in Canada and the United States)
  • Esthetic industry and/or previous experience with Eminence product line an asset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, Asana (or other project management software) and Zoom, as well as other databases and CRM software
  • Demonstration of responsibility and ownership
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to take initiative, use independent judgement and problem-solve
