This position can be located on a hybrid basis in Vancouver, BC or Loveland, CO.Are you a visionary leader with a passion for digital innovation and product development Aquatic Informatics is seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to spearhead our digital transformation within the water industry. As the CTO, you will collaborate with senior executives and digital teams to shape and execute cutting-edge strategies, driving the evolution of our diverse, global organization #39;s digital product portfolio. Your leadership will directly impact the world #39;s water management, ensuring efficient and sustainable solutions for everyday needs.Key Responsibilities:- Lead and Inspire : As the CTO, you will recruit, manage, mentor, and cultivate a high-performing team of Digital Engineers. Your leadership will drive effectiveness, innovation, and associate engagement, fostering a collaborative environment for growth.- Product Innovation: Develop and oversee a product portfolio generating substantial annual revenue, exceeding $30 million. Shape the vision for future products while guiding the growth and maintenance of existing offerings, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.- Strategic Partnership : Collaborate closely with the Product Leader to assess the feasibility and strategic value of new product concepts. Champion robust business cases, ensuring a strong return on investment (ROI) and alignment with company goals before commencing product development.- Collaborative Alignment: Liaise with cross-functional teams and departments within Aquatic Informatics to drive a unified, long-term digital strategy. Foster alignment and synergy to achieve a shared vision.- Technology Leadership : Identify and foster technology partnerships that enhance the value of our products. Lead technology due diligence efforts, informing decisions on build, buy, or partner strategies.- Growth Acceleration : Assist in identifying and evaluating potential acquisition targets, accelerating profitable growth, and enriching our product portfolio.- Technical Excellence : Establish and enforce non-functional technology requirements such as security, compliance, reliability, scalability, and maintainability, ensuring top-quality product delivery.- Agile Mastery : Leverage your expertise in agile and lean methodologies to lead and scale multiple teams working cohesively toward common objectives.- Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement within your team, driving innovation, efficiency, and excellence throughout the product lifecycle.Qualifications:- Educationamp; Experience: A post-secondary degree in computer science or software engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.- Leadership Acumen: Over 12 years of experience building and leading digital product development teams, including managing teams of more than 15 members and multiple sub-teams and managers.- Product Development Expertise: At least 10 years of hands-on experience designing, building, and successfully delivering software products through their complete lifecycle.- Remote Leadership : Proven experience in effectively leading remote workers, partners, and contractors to achieve project success.- Agile Mastery : Strong proficiency in agile and lean philosophies and methods, including scaling agile teams to collaborate on shared goals.- Influential Collaboration : Demonstrated ability to influence peers, team members, and executives through collaborative and strategic discussions.Join us at Aquatic Informatics and be a driving force in shaping the future of water management. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Colorado.
