Our nimble, decentralized culture can provide you with a wealth of opportunities to learn about our business and quickly gain experience to accelerate your career.Who you areThe Copywriter will be a key Marketing Studio team member, primarily supporting brokerage content writing initiatives, and assisting with other service line content and one-off marketing requests. You will play an important role in the development and overall growth of the Marketing Studio department on a national scale, as well as providing service excellence to our clients, advisors, and team through the development of key marketing messages and property marketing content.As the Copywriter, you will be responsible for partnering with the studio team in planning, proofreading, and writing various types of content including business development proposals, property marketing campaigns, neighbourhood profiles, video scripts, and internal and external presentations and communications. You will collaborate with leaders and others on the team to develop creative ideas and execute consistent brand messaging and content for marketing collateral used by advisors, service lines, and practice groups. You will create and manage informative, entertaining, and inspiring content for both internal and external audiences.This is a Hybrid working arrangement at either of our following locations: Vancouver or Montreal or Toronto or Edmonton.What you bring

  • Degree and/or Certificate in English, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Portfolio or 2-3 writing samples from previous work that are relevant to our content to show your abilities/capabilities.
  • Professional services experience preferred.
  • High level of computer proficiency and CMS experience.
  • Experience supporting and advocating within a change management environment.
  • Comfortable in a complex, flat matrix organizational structure with many stakeholders.
  • Capacity to write and generate content with strong editing and proofreading skills with an emphasis on business writing and an understanding of articulating client value.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented nature with experience using numbers to deliver marketing insights and action.
  • Residential and/or commercial real estate marketing experience is an asset.
  • Willing to work flexible hours as needed.

  • Expert writing, editing, and proofreading skills and familiarity with Canadian Press writing standards.
  • Exceptional organization, time management, and prioritization skills, with the ability to thrive under pressure and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Basic understanding of social media and website optimization strategies and best practices.
  • Extremely comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated with high attention to detail and a focus on results.
  • Understanding of design and copy typesetting fundamentals.
  • Ability to provide constructive critical feedback to improve the writing capability of team members.
  • High level of service orientation within the business and strong business acumen.
  • Works well independently as well as in a team.
  • High level of drive, energy, and initiative.
  • A quick learner - able to learn about the company and clients quickly and accurately.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Possesses strong presentation and public speaking skills.
  • Able to read, write and speak French is a bonus.
What success looks like
  • Work with marketing service line leads and marketing specialists to create, edit, and adapt content for all property marketing pieces (brochures, ads, social posts, videos, eblasts, etc.).
  • Partner with marketing leadership to create, edit and manage content support for marketing collateral for various service lines, practice groups, events, and special assignments.
  • Develop, manage, and maintain project content calendar, ensuring timely delivery of content pieces and coordinating with stakeholders to gather input and approvals.
  • Act as the copy editor/proofreader for communications and content requests coming through Marketing Studio.
  • Manage multiple projects under tight deadlines with the ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Provide editorial support for advisors in relation to thought leadership, profiles, and editorials.
  • Ensure written materials comply with and complement the overall company position, content style guide, and visual identity guidelines.
  • Assist with content development and editing/proofreading RFP responses, pitches, and proposals with cross-functional teams.
  • Be proficient in longer-form storytelling.
  • Other duties as requested.
Approximate Salary Range for Role: $57,938.00 to $96,563.00Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salariesfor the position across all Canada locations.
