• Perform predictive maintenance and corrective maintenance on facility assets
• Complete scheduled quantitative preventative maintenance inspections on critical equipment
• Documenting all completed work and the conditions found, utilizing maintenance computer software as necessary.
• Work independently and/or cooperatively with personnel of various departments to troubleshoot and resolve electrical, control and process systems problems.
• Complete installation of new equipment
• Understanding and adhering to all safety rules and regulations.
• Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada
• Must be 18 years or older
• Possess a Red Seal Electrician Trade certification
• 1 year or more industrial experience with HMI and PLC Systems
• Knowledge of motor control and troubleshooting
• Basic computers use and typing skills
• Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without a reasonable accommodation .
• Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including a respirator.
• Must be willing to work from heights, in confined spaces, and other industrial conditions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Working experience with Modicon 984 and Quantum PLCs
• Power distribution (600V, 12.47kV and 69kV) equipment installation and operation.
• Programming experience with ladder logic, function block, and structured text.
• Experience with PROFIBUS, MODBUS and MODBUS+, Ethernet, fiber optic and industrial wireless communications installations and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge and training in workplace electrical safety standards and arc flash hazards
• 1 year or more industrial experience with HMI and PLC Systems
• Knowledge of motor control and troubleshooting
• Experience with variable frequency drives and various type of sensors
