Bring your unique strengths, perspectives and experiences to the portauthority and join us in charting a course toward a sustainable future.The seniorf inancial systems analyst is responsible for supporting key stakeholders in thedesign, implementation, and support of business processes related to financialsystems, including JDE and other related applications.Thisposition assists the manager, enterprise applications with functional day-to-day support of financial system and in thepreparation, testing and deployment of systems enhancements, including new JDEmodules.The position works closely with the JDE application developer,providing the information and functional details of the business departmentsfor the preparation of technical specifications.As the seniorf inancial systems analyst , youwill:- Understand accounting and finance principles, guides businessstakeholders in the most efficient and effective use of the JDE, providing thebest value to the organization.- Partner with the business to recommend and create first in class JDEbusiness processes and identify areas for continuous improvement.- Lead the implementation and configuration of new modules and functions.This includes envisioning revised processes, gathering business requirements,building prototypes, performing user tests, and preparing relevantdocumentation and training material.- Troubleshoot business issues, recommend upgrades and updates to keep thesystem up to date with the latest relevant business functionality.- Drive the quality assurance process by assisting the business totranslate business requirements and use cases into test plans and scenarios.- Perform relevant research, develop and/or oversee the development ofproject plans, cost estimates, demonstrations, and prototypes.- Provide guidance to internal IS and business teams on the integration ofJDE data with other port authority systems, configures and implementsintegration on JDE part.- Maintain and support the JDE functional environment including enhancingand improving performance of configured modules, troubleshooting system issues.- Assist with the development of requests for proposals (RFPs), requestsfor information (RFIs), business requirements, and business cases.Success ProfileA two-year diploma in in business or technology related field from a recognizedpost-secondary educational institution along with a minimum of five years #39;experience implementing, configuring, and supporting finance systems.Must have demonstrated experience with:- Hands-on business experience working with the accounting/financebusiness units.- Process design, configuration, support and troubleshooting of functionalareas of JD EnterpriseOne.- JDE modules, including but not limited to: Address Book, AccountsPayable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Procurement, Fixed Assets,Inventory Budgeting.- Integration and system transitions of acquisitions involving third partysystems.- Cross-functional process review/analysis and re-engineering.The following will be considered an asset:- Accounting background, designation and working knowledge of HR andPayroll modules.- Exposure/background to other ERP, finance or budgeting tools and systems(e.g. AccPac, Infor SMPlus, Ares).- Experience with project management tools (Jira).- Exposure to modern delivery approaches such as Agile and SCRUM.- Experience in business process management tools, (e.g. JDE Orchestrator).Excellent organizationalskills with the ability to handle multiple projects, perform multiple tasks andmeet tight deadlines. Proven diagnostic, problem-solving skills and the abilityto apply a strategic approach to meeting complex business requirements. Broadand strong understanding of accounting principles and proven ability toconfigure JDE to meet those business requirements. Experience working withmultiple stakeholders from different domains/industries. Collaboration andteamwork are essential, along with an excellentquot;customer serviceapproach. Good verbal and written communication skills.The successful individual must have strong analytical,problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.Must have strong business expertise, a keen understanding of businessneeds, and ability to ensure technical solutions, strategies, practices, anddeliver business and customer value.Must have the ability to balance business users #39; requests andrequirements with technical constraints.
