Together, we accelerate the discovery, development and delivery of solutions that safeguard and improve human health.The Senior Scientist will report to the Manager of Analytical Development and operate within the Precision Nano Systems LLC (PNI) Bio-Pharmaceutical Services (BPS) team.Responsibilities:

  • Perform advanced and specialized bio-analytical techniques such as UHPLC-CAD, UHPLC-PDA, UHPLC-SEC and LC-MS, and leverage expertise in biomolecules (e.g. nucleic Acids, proteins, mABs), lipids, and excipient (buffers, stabilizers, etc.) chemistry to improve nanoparticle formulations.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate analytical reports to share internally or with PNI #39;s clients.
  • Mentor and instruct analytical associates on instrument operation, experimental design, and data interpretation.
  • Assist in lab management, training and other activities needed for the smooth function of BPS
  • Oversee the development and execution of both chemical and biological assays, as necessary, to support development work of the Formulation Scientists, internal and external PNI programs, and operational excellence within the Analytical Development group.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Domain expertise gained through a Bachelor #39;s or Master #39;s Degree with 5 yrs relevant experience; PhD with min. 2 years of relevant experience (i.e. Biochemistry, Chemistry, Pharmacy).
  • Requires conceptual and practical expertise in own discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplines.
  • Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market.
  • Extensive liquid chromatography experience with HPLC- (UV, ELSD, CAD), LC-MS, LC-HRMS, LC-MS/MS, and/or SEC-MALLS
  • Leadership experience in either an academic or industry environment
The salary range for this role is $90K-$120K CAD. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
