Veterinary Technologist, RVTSaanichton, BCCentral Saanich Animal Hospital, located in Saanichton, BC (surrounded by tranquil beaches in all four directions, with the mountains just a short drive away and short drive from Beautiful Victoria on Vancouver Island) is accepting applications for Veterinary Technologist to join our team!We offer a competitive hourly wage between $25-35 per hour, a signing and relocation bonus for the right candidate, and a flexible schedule for the perfect work life balance!We see all types of creatures from dogs, cats, small mammals, birds, reptiles to even fish!If you are passionate about joining a team that likes to mentor, learn, and grow together, then we are the right fit for you! Our hospital puts a strong focus on our patient #39;s needs and providing them the best care that we can. We have been AAHA Accredited for over 30 years!We also have Vancouver Island #39;s only board-certified Canine Rehabilitation veterinarian on our team providing a complete service for our patient #39;s rehabilitation needs and preventative care.We encourage you to apply regardless of your experience level. If you are a newer tech, we are happy to start you off in our mentorship program with one of our experienced techs until you are comfortable. If you are experienced, we would love to be a future mentor.

  • Have completed a Veterinary Technologist or Animal Health Technology program.
  • New graduates with knowledge of physical examinations, patient assessment, catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, radiology, venipuncture, and pharmacy - welcome to apply! We love growing new graduates!
  • Surgical preparation, assisting and patient recovery
  • Ability to keep detailed and accurate patient records
  • Compassionate care for our hospitalized patients and their pet parents
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Ability to problem-solve or the ability to ask clarifying questions to help you find solutions
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills in working with your colleagues and pet parents
