Job DescriptionYour day as a Product Design Assistant is a blend of hands-on design, collaboration, and learning from the product designer—perfect for developing technical and creative skills! Here is an overview of a Day in the Life of a Product Design Assistant: 9:00 AM – Start the Dayamp; Team MeetingBegin by checking emails, project updates, and feedback. Participate in the team meeting to align tasks and receive the latest updates from designers and developers.9:30 AM – Sketchingamp; Concept DevelopmentWork on initial sketches or digital mockups based on the lead designer’s ideas. Join brainstorming sessions to explore design options that align with user needs and brand identity.11:00 AM – Design Softwareamp; Prototype AdjustmentsUse CAD software to refine designs, adjust layouts, or make changes based on feedback. Consult with the lead designer for guidance on complex points or new ideas.12:30 PM – Rechargeamp; Connect with Colleagues1:30 PM – Collaborate with Engineeringamp; Review PrototypesMeet with engineers or the prototyping team to discuss the technical feasibility of designs. Visit the workshop if needed to see prototypes in progress and clarify design details.3:00 PM – User Feedbackamp; RevisionsReview user feedback or test results with the lead designer. Make necessary revisions to improve usability, aesthetics, or functionality of current designs.4:30 PM – Documentationamp; End of DayDocument design changes and ensure specifications are accurate for execution.
