Job Description

Seeking a career where every day is different, and every day is rewarding Consider Continuing Care! Health Association Nova Scotia is partnering with the Department of Seniors and Long-Term Care to support the recruitment of LTCAs and other healthcare workers across Nova Scotia.The LTCA contributes to quality improvement and supports all aspects of the Care Team in the safety and well-being of residents and clients.Responsibilities:

  • Facilitating indoor/outdoor visits between Residents and visitors
  • Screening visitors for entry into the facility
  • Escorting Residents and visitors to the designated visiting area
  • Assisting with the residents dining experience
  • Ensuring visitors and Residents are wearing proper PPE
  • Sanitize surfaces and items to contribute to the protection against infection.
  • The LTCA may be expected to assist in other departments such as Recreation if operationally required.
Core Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a healthcare environment preferred
  • A valid drivers license and access to a reliable vehicle is required (Homecare)
  • Flexible to work all shifts and non-standard hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
