GN Thermoforming Equipment has a Machine Builder / Mechanical Assembler position in Chester, Nova Scotia. This role makes various mechanical and pneumatic sub-assemblies. They are responsible for assembling operating mechanisms to make a complete machine.KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:1.Receive job assignment and instructions on blueprints and work orders from Supervisor.2.Clean and prepare parts for assembly.3.Assemble ovens, rails, stations, frames, etc., prior to final assembly with instructions.4.Install guards, rails, ovens, and other assemblies.5.Mount and plumb pneumatic components.6.Assemble machine in proper sequence from work order and prints.7.Inspect machine when complete per work order and fill out check sheets.8.After machine is complete prepare machine for shipment and dismantle as required.9.Follow all applicable safety procedures and policies.10.Maintain good housekeeping in work area.EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:1.High school diploma required.2.Mechanical aptitude required.3.Ability to read blueprints.4.Ability to read SolidWorks 3D ModelsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:1.Ability to read pneumatic schematics2.Basic math skills.3.Familiarity with measuring equipment such as verniers, calipers, etc.4.Forklift and overhead crane operations.ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
