Job Description

As a company in the Timberland Group, HAWBOLDT INDUSTRIES is a Canadian-owned, entrepreneurial, globally recognized company located in Chester, Nova Scotia, where we are a fully operational facility with sales, engineering, and manufacturing departments all under one roof.We are currently looking for PAINTER HELPER. This is a permanent, fulltime position with an attractive wage and benefits for the right candidate.POSITION SUMMARY Performs all types of industrial painting prep work, prepares various surfaces for painting by washing, scraping, taping or other means as necessary. The job description is to be used as a guideline only and may not incorporate all functions of the job.

  • Caulks holes and cracks
  • Erects and uses ladders and scaffolding as required
  • Paints equipment using brush
  • Cleans and stores tools and equipment and cleans work sites
· Use of precision inspection and measuring tools· Perform minor equipment maintenance· Interpret engineering drawingsATTRIBUTES WE SEEK:
  • Knowledge of riggings, hoist, ladders, lifts and other various equipment used in painting
  • Knowledge of the safety regulations of scaffolding, ladders, and lifts
  • A minimum 3 years of experience as an industrial painter
