Job Description

GN Thermoforming Equipment is an internationally recognized manufacturer of quality machinery and tooling for the plastics industry, presently exporting to over 70 countries. We are located just a short distance south of the Halifax Regional Municipality in the picturesque seaside community of Chester, Lunenburg County, Nova Scotia. www.gncanada.com . GN is a member of the Brown Machine Group www.brownmachinegroup.com.Since our first export 40 years ago, we continue to enhance our product line & services to the thermoforming industry through innovation, quality and excellent customer service.We are currently seeking a Pre-Assembly Supervisor to join our Production team.Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, the Pre-Assembly Supervisor will be responsible to organize, direct, coordinate, monitor and evaluate the day to day activities of the Pre-Assembly Department (Paint Shop, Weld Shop & Cut Saw) to ensure production targets are met at the right time, meeting quality standards and on budget.Experience and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency using computer programs and systems, including ERP or production software used in manufacturing, such as Syspro.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan effectively to meet production goals and timelines.
  • Strong attention to detail, good interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills, proven leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Solid understanding and experience managing Quality and Health and Safety. Knowledge of ISO requirements.
