Job Description

Department: Deposit Services (Casual)Reports to: Branch ManagerSalary: As per collective agreementClosing Date: Until FilledSUMMARYThis position is responsible for recognizing the needs of the member and acting in a timely manner to provide solutions. This role is required to demonstrate product and service knowledge through cross selling and the promotion of business development.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Recognizes member needs, service opportunities and promoting all Credit Union product services
  • Makes referrals to the Financial Services Officers and Wealth Management as appropriate
  • Processes member transactions bill payments, deposits and withdrawals
  • Processes official cheques
  • Verifies cheque clearing on the Central Portal System
  • Lists and balances outgoing cheques utilities and all other transactions
  • Processes night deposits
  • Completes preauthorized debits and credits
  • Processes outgoing wire transfers in CAD and USD
  • Processes debit card orders, debit card re-pins and debit card limit change requests
  • Processes cheque orders for personal and business members
  • Set up online banking and/or telephone banking
  • Processes requests for suppress and e-statements
  • Monitor cash limits in TCR
  • Assists as TCR, ATM, Treasury dual custodian as required
  • Books member appointments for the Financial Services Officers
  • Processes hold funds, stop payments, auto transfers
  • Processes cash advances on Master Cards
  • Services and resolves service member inquiries
  • Closes sub accounts and refers member account closures
  • Provides members access to Safe Deposit Boxes
  • Completes returned mail process
  • Ensures filing is up to date
  • Processes fax requests
  • Answers the phones as required
  • Performs other duties as required

  • Demonstrates an affinity for basic mathematics
  • Demonstrates the ability to adhere to company policies, procedures and with provincial and federal regulations
  • Demonstrates accountability, integrity and cooperation in the workplace
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum 3 years customer service experience
  • Experience working in a financial institution an asset
  • Post secondary education in business, finance, accounting or equivalent an asset
