Job Description

Position Overview:The employee shall carry out his/her duties and responsibilities in a competent, trustworthy, and loyal manner. It is expected that the employee will maintain a level of work that is quality-based, timely, efficient, and professional on behalf of CECMust have reliable transportation Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for preparing and painting industrial equipment.
  • Responsible for all painting conducted.
  • Responsible for quality of workmanship, and having an eye for detail.
  • Ensure that time is properly tracked and allocated to each job for costing purposes, by scanning in and out of the jobs through AX.
  • Ensure materials are properly tracked and allocated to each job for costing purposes.
  • Ensure a safe work environment by taking pride in a well-organized/maintained production area as well as maintaining a safe work environment within that department on each job.
  • Responsible for identifying areas for improvement, ways to better expedite and gain production efficiencies, and cost reductions.
  • To be punctual and available for a minimum of 40 hours of work per week.
  • Know and understand workplace health and safety rights and responsibilities.
  • Follow safe work procedures and act safely in the workplace at all times.
  • Maintain a safe working environment within the department and on each job.
  • Use the protective clothing, devices, and equipment required for the job.
  • Other duties as required.
  • Complete all applicable quality records.
  • Perform work in accordance with CEC-documented policies and procedures.
Qualifications:Experience:
  • Painter I; 2 years experience in industrial painting.
  • Painter II; 3 to 5 years of Painting experience, journeyman, or equivalent experience.
Physical:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.Language:
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Other:
  • Ability to identify paint materials.
