The ideal candidate will need to possess the skills to manage a fast-paced changing office environment, must be able to meet deadlines, work independently, effectively manage time, be detail-oriented and highly motivated, and contribute to a positive, safe, high-quality culture. The construction industry is a fast-paced environment that requires decision-making and problem-solving skills. Individuals with experience in an engineering and/or construction-related role and basic procurement experience are desired but not required.District OverviewKiewit Infrastructure Engineering #39;s Design-Build team is driving clients to turn to Kiewit during all stages of design-build projects. Through our integrated design and construction approach, our multi-disciplinary team works together to improve schedule, control costs and minimize risk. Our construction-focused engineers work collaboratively with our estimators and builders to design solutions that are innovative, constructible, and designed with a focus on safety.   • Terms and conditions constituting flow downs from prime contract utilizing Kiewit #39;s prescribed Contract Review Process;
  • Coordinate and assist Contract Manager in finalizing all agreements for subconsultants prior to pursuit submission;
  • Work with applicable business lead and legal, support project lower-tier negotiations with consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers;
  • Support project personnel as needed for contract interpretation and execution as needed;
  • General administration support for the Contract Manager for all assigned design service agreements within his/her area, including routing of documents, requests for approval, drafting of internal memos and department workflows.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or higher and at least  2+ years of administrative experience, preferably for engineering, construction, or oil/gas/chemical company.
  • Must be customer service oriented.
  • Possess a valid class 5 driver #39;s license.
  • Ability to lift, carry and move 40 lbs.
  • Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative.
  • Strong work ethic, willing to do what it takes to get the job done right the first time.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity.
  • Passion for safety, with the ability to help us ensure that nobody gets hurt.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Team player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals and objectives.
  • Bilingual (French and English) strongly preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of contract terms and conditions (Asset).
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate with a variety of corporate departments and districts to assist in the delivery of proposals.
  • Ability to work independently and think analytically with minimal oversight.
  • Demonstrated strong organizational, time management and attention to detail skills.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlookamp; Teams).
  • Other software working knowledge such as SharePoint, SmartSheet and SAP (desired but not required).
