The DistrictSchool District No. 51 (Boundary) encompasses 11 school sites from Big White Ski Resort east to Christina Lake, as well as 2 bus/maintenance garages and a school board office located in Grand Forks. The District employs approximately 275 employees, serves 1,300 students in K-12 and administers an annual budget of $20,000,000.SD51 is a small, rural district that operates on a 4-day school week with students in session Monday to Thursday. Grand Forks is situated on the confluence of the Kettle and Granby rivers and is approximately 2.5 hours from Nelson, Kelowna and Spokane. The Boundary is a land of fertile fields, lush valleys, lakes, rivers and mountains where you can find unlimited adventure through four distinct seasons.School District No. 51 (Boundary) is currently looking to fill the following Supervisor positions at West Boundary Elementary School:The position is four (4) hours/ week, ten (10) months/year, and while students are in school. you are not required to work on non instructional days.Duties and Responsibilities:Work with general computer applications and L4U library systemsPrepare resources for circulation including labelling, laminating, taping spines etc.Circulate resources, check, repair and shelve returned materialsAssist students and staff in the selection and location of materialsPrepare materials including correspondence, forms, overdue lists etc.Take inventoryReceive and verify invoices and delivery of goodsApplicants should have:Post-secondary training in general computer applications and automated library systemsDemonstrated ability to work with the Library L4U Software ProgramMinimum of 3-6 months experience or equivalent combination of training and experienceGrade 12 completion.Per Article 5.05 of the Collective Agreement presently in effect between the Board and C.U.P.E. Local 2098, additional hours are available to employees who are able to accept the hours in addition to their current assignment.Hours and duties to be performed will be assigned by the Principal or designate.The salary for this position will be in accordance with the Collective Agreement which is presently in effect between the Board and C.U.P.E.
