As an important member of the care team and under the supervision of the clinical team, you will:Perform direct patient services tasks including: assisting with patient activities of daily living, mobilization and transport.Collaborate with the patient and team to prevent decline in levels of function and ADL.Report changes in the patient's physical, cognitive and or emotional condition immediately to a nurse.Listen to and communicate patient concerns to appropriate team membersParticipate in bedside report and team huddles to identify and prioritize patient care needs.Document care interventions on unit specific documentation forms and in the electronic health recordPerform patient rounds to assess the safety and comfort of patientsDaily restocking of supplies in patient care rooms and supply storage areasContribute to the maintenance of a safe work environmentQUALIFICATIONS:Personal Support Worker Certificate required from an accredited institutionBasic Knowledge of Aseptic TechniquesCurrent C.P.R.Recent related experience working with patients in a medicine and/or rehabilitation settingRecent experience working in a highly technical patient care environmentExcellent organizational and prioritization skillsExcellent interpersonal, communication and comprehension skillsFlexibility to meet unit needsAbility to work well with team membersBasic computer skills and knowledge of Meditech systemExcellent attendance, punctuality and work recordAbility to travel between and work at all hospitals as requiredAble to handle physical requirements of the job (ability to lift at least 25-30 pounds)SALARY:Minimum: $24.39 per hourMaximum: $24.94 per hourOsler values inclusivity and diversity in the workplace.
