Your Opportunity:Come join the dynamic Calgary Rural Rehabilitation team! This full-time permanent position will be supporting Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy services in Willow Creek Continuing Care Center as well as the Claresholm General Hospital. The Rural Allied Health team in Claresholm provides rehabilitation services for long term care, acute care, outpatients and home care. Willow Creek Continuing care supports 100 long term care residents, and Claresholm General Hospital houses a 16 bed Acute Medical Unit and an emergency department. Under the guidance of the OT / PT the TA provides individual and group treatment interventions, supports the rehab team with the maintenance and ordering of rehab supplies and equipment, and participates in program planning and development. Occasional travel to support home care clients may be required. Condensed/modified work schedules can be considered.Description:As a Therapy Assistant, you will work both individually and as part of an interprofessional team under the assignment, monitoring and evaluation of an audiologist, occupational therapist, physiotherapist, recreation therapist or speech-language pathologist. You will contribute to effective and efficient rehabilitation services including direct and indirect client care across the health care continuum (healthy living, getting better, living with illness and disability, end of life care) for all ages as well as non-client service provision. This role will require you to work effectively with internal and external partners, and display professionalism and strong ethics in both client centered care and participation in care teams. You will demonstrate evidence of reflective thinking and lifelong learning that enhances individual and team competency.
