Your Opportunity:Come join our long term care team! Willow Creek Continuing Care Centre is seeking a Unit Clerk for casual employment (shifts available as required for replacement of full time staff). As the Unit Clerk, you are a central support of our team and the residents on the units. The responsibilities and functions of the Unit Clerk include but are not limited to: Computer/administrative duties, Processing orders as requested by Physicians and Nursing staff. Answering phones and directing calls. Assisting long term care residents, may include portering and feeding of the residents at our LTC site. Please note, this facility provides Long Term Care (LTC) or Designated Supportive Living (DSL) services and by Order of the Chief Medical Officer of Health, many AHS employees are restricted to work only at a single LTC/DSL site for the remainder of the pandemic. Speak to the hiring manager who will confirm if, as the successful candidate in this position, you will be restricted to work at only one LTC/DLS site in Alberta. Please Note: This position is located outside of the Calgary city limits (100 km south of Calgary city limits). 80 Km north of Lethbridge.Description:As a Unit Clerk, you will be responsible for the efficient flow of communication between health professionals, departments, patients and families while maintaining confidentiality of patient information. You will also be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks which may include reception, greeting and directing visitors, patients and health professionals, maintaining patient records and charts, transcribing and processing physician orders as well as scheduling patient tests and/or treatments. You will also be responsible for performing a range of administrative activities in support of the unit.
