Banister is part of the Quanta Services group of companies which is the leading specialty contractor with the largest and most skilled workforce in North America – providing fully integrated solutions for the electric power, pipeline industrial and communication industries.Involved in all facets of mainline pipeline construction and maintenance Banister is seeking Field Safety Administrator to work on a major construction project located near Clearwater British Columbia. Project duration is from approximately July 2021 to October 2022.Per diem will be provided.Safety Administrator(s) work under the direction of the Field Health and Safety Manager and support the Banister Safety Team throughout the life of the Project. The following is a summary of the key Safety Administrator(s) roles and responsibilities:§ Key responsibility to support the written safety programs, procedures and requirements of the organization§ Schedule, manage and execute the Project orientation program daily§ Ensure all employees hold valid training certificates required for the Project§ Collect, copy, file and organize all employee orientation and training records§ Collect safety documentation and ensure safety database is up to date§ Maintain safety/training database§ Maintain safety/training records daily§ Take meeting minutes at scheduled organization meetings§ Assist in organizing safety training or regulatory courses§ Coordinate training as required§ Develop safety meeting topics, morning toolboxes§ Assist in maintaining third party procurement websites such as ISNetworld®§ Maintain the client Contractor Hazard Risk Registry§ Assist with workers compensation claims as required§ Ensure safety procedures are up to regulatory standards§ Provide a safety resource to workers§ Prepare month-end reporting and statistics§ Manage safety schedule and training§ Scanning and filing all safety documents as requiredQualifications:§ Minimum 5 years safety administration experience – ideally within the pipeline construction industry§ HSA/Active NCSO (preferred)§ Available to work a 6 days on/1 day off work schedule§ Must be legally authorized to work in Canada, no international candidates requiring corporate sponsorship to work in Canada will be considered.Banister is an equal-opportunity employer.
