24/7 OEMS is looking for BC licensed Primary Care Paramedics to join our team supporting a long-term construction project in Clearwater, B.C., in full-time roles. PCPs are supported by a team of on-call emergency medicine physicians. Camp based accommodations are provided.$750 signing bonus upon completion of 90 day probationary periodRESPONSIBILITIES· Provide emergency medical care to injured or ill workers, including making transport decisions within their scope of practice.· The PCP approved scope of practice will primarily align with their provincial licensing / governing body, including delegated medical acts approved by the 24/7 OEMS Medical Director, individual competence and training in selected skills, urgency of patient condition, and on-site medical resources.WORK CONDITIONSThe duties of a PCP can be physically demanding and may require prolonged kneeling, working in stooped positions, and rolling patients. Depending on the working conditions these physical demands can become rigorous. Personnel must be physically and mentally capable of safely and effectively performing the required duties of a PCP.LICENSURE / CERTIFICATIONS· Current BC paramedic license· Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Course (with certification from a nationally recognized provider)· Current BC OFA3 certification· Valid Class 5 Drivers’ License with clean driver’s abstractQUALIFICATIONS· Industrial experience will be considered an asset but not essential· Experience working with First Nations strongly preferred.· Training and/or experience in providing culturally sensitive care an asset.· Working knowledge of the following programs: Microsoft Office Suite to include Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint, as well as WhatsApp and VSee.· Willingness to learn programs such as electronic medical record systems as introduced by 24/7 OEMS or its’ clients.
